Copper Rain Chains
U-nitt copper rain chains are made of 100% pure copper with a gauge 20-22.
No hollow parts.
It is normal for ORIGINAL UNFINISHED/UNTREATED COPPER to get spots after 4-6 weeks of use and start tarnishing with weather and slowly turn to a natural patina look sometimes green and sometimes darker depending on the weather.
Changing color is a natural process and a sign of originality.
Aluminum Rain Chains
versatile and light weight
bright colors
weather resistant
long lasting when powder coated
Link Style Rain Chains
Most U-nitt rain chains are cup styles.
While cups are great at funneling rainwater with minimal splash, link style rain chain adds a nice accent to a modern or contemporary house or structure. In addition, it minimizes the clogged leaves and debris situation.
Keep in mind that due to surface tension, the water will not adhere to the rain chain well initially, creating splash and run off.
But after five minutes of rain, this problem will disappear.
We have included a video in product pages for #6001, #6002BLK, #6003BLK to show how link style rain chains perform in the rain.
U-nitt link style rain chains are made of 5mm heavy duty metal wires (copper, aluminum).
Unlike our competitors' 4mm link chains, our link rain chains are substantial and long lasting, creating life long memories.
Link style rain chains work best with a gutter adapter and a garden stake, if you live in a windy area.
Be Bold! Be Creative!
Use your rain chain as part of a water feature, with water loving plants, a fountain or a spill bowl, and some rocks and pebbles; Rain chain anchoring basin is a great alternative to bird bath
A rain barrel or a planter can be added at the end of your rain chain to collect rain water;
Or as simplicity goes, just fasten the end of your rain chain onto the ground with a garden stake.
