TRICO Oiler, Constant Level, No. 3 Globe

For Sale - 1 - Trico Constant Level Oiler with No. 3 Glass Globe
New old stock.  I really don't see how this thing works.  There doesn't appear to be anything that would keep the oil from pouring out once it is turned up.

I don't know.  It is a really neat piece.  It appears to be made from cast aluminum.  It has a 1/4" NPT fitting in the bottom with a plug in it and another out the side.  There is a very tight knurled knob on the side.  If loosened, it allows the top to separate from the bottom.  The globe appears to be permanently affixed to the top section.
The glass globe has the word "TRICO" cast in it as well as a diamond shaped logo.  The word "No.3" is also cast in the globe.  Inside the lower portion of the oiler there is a round metal piece with a small piece of all thread screwed in it.  There are also to brackets screwed in the bottom on the all thread.
This item in new, with no box.
