    Description

Frank Durnell Connard (1884-1966) of Garden City was a master at creating the exaggerated postcard, and he is mostly known for those images.  His Kansas scenes are instantly recognizable…filled with giant grasshoppers and rabbits.  This dust storm picture was probably taken in Southwest Kansas during the dust bowl era.
