Water Basin is another key element of Japanese gardens. Our water basins are cut from a rough granite with a fine stroked hammer and chisel finish.each of our water basins is born to be unique, the texture, details and crystallize patterns are one of a kind.
Please notice that this water basin is hand-cut from big granite stone, it is not moulded, or cast. It will not peel, decolor, or crack, actually it could last generations in your outdoor oasis.
The inside and outside diameters are aiming to reach a perfect traditional look and proportion. It sits close to the ground, will not tip over or move. The outside of the basin has a fine stroked hammered and chiselled finish.
This water basin can be used alone to be a Chouzubachi
（手水缽
), or be part of the water fountain like Tsukubai
（蹲踞
).
A Chouzubachi is a water bowl, usually provided in Japanese Buddhist temples. You can place it in the rock garden, on pebbles, close to the yard entrance, or in a pavilion, simply fill with water or combine it with a pump to build a fountain project.
To make a Tsukubai, use an 80gph submersible pump with some bamboo pipes and a water spout. To make a bubbling fountain, drill the water basin and use a 170gph submersible pump.
Adding this stone water basin is adding the simplest but the most elegant water feature in your garden.
