Professionally framed in oak wood and matted with non-glare glass is this Artist Ernst Ulmer's "Topeka Resplendent in Twilight's Ephemera Beauty c. 1900" lithographic print in cyanotype blue.  The matt is different shades of blues with a peach color border.  Really draws the eye to the print.  This print depicts life and architecture in Topeka, Kansas (capital city of the State of Kansas) during the 1900s.  The details on this print depicting the 1900s in Topeka, Kansas is a breathtakingly beautiful site captured so realistically by this artist.  There are 2 signatures at the bottom right corner of Ernst Ulmer, one printing of his name and one signature.  I cannot say if this is a Limited Ed print because the print was not removed from the frame. This fabulous piece would look beautiful hanging in an office setting or above a fireplace.  This item is in excellent to mint condition except for some slight wear at the frame corners.  Measures 39" x 29" x 3/4".  Weight 12 lbs.  See all photos for details and condition and as part of the description.  This item will be carefully packaged for shipping.  Local pickup is welcome at discount.  Thank you for your consideration.
Ernst Ulmer, Artist, Bonner Springs, Kansas . Ernst Ulmer's artistic ability began to express itself at an early age. Born to German immigrants who settled in Kansas. Ernst began to paint professionally after serving his country during World War II. He earned his M.F.A. from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1950. In the late 70's, he surrendered to the drive to express what truly held his interest. He developed his own unique style which he described as "loose realism". His style invokes clear images which are then softened by his unique ability to allow the subjects essential qualities to shine through. Ulmer's artwork takes into account the sensory experience of the viewers, inviting them to participate in the interpretation and understanding of the work. His paintings and murals are prized by private and corporate collectors worldwide. His work has been in a number of special interest publications including, North and South , the Official Magazine of the Civil War Society on two occasions; the Kansas State Historical Society's publication, Kansas History ; and The Artist magazine. Throughout his career, Ulmer received many awards. For more than fifty years the world of art has been enriched, enlivened and educated by Ulmer's work. Through his multitude of paintings portraying common everyday scenes, Ulmer has engendered pride in his fellow Kansans. He captured the distinct personalities of the subjects of his life-like portrait work, his love for American history has expressed itself in his portrayals of important moments of the Civil War and his respect for Native Americans shines forth as his incredible work captured the honor and pageantry of the America's first people. From hidden boudoirs above a saloon in the Wild West to modern day cowboys brewing coffee on a misty cold morning, all were worthy subject matter for Ulmer's artistic interpretation. Ernst Ulmer passed away in 2009.
